About Our Chapter
Our chapter serves residents in Stow (44224) and Munroe Falls (44262) by providing daytime activities and support for moms. Children are welcome to attend all of our events! We are not affiliated with any religious or political group, and we welcome moms from all backgrounds.
Our chapter is made up of the following committees:
Activity Committee – Generates ideas and hosts an event or two for the monthly calendar.
Babysitting Co-op – This is a fair way to exchange babysitting with other members.
Big Sister Committee – Help new members feel comfortable by attending 2 or 3 activities with them after they join.
Book Club – For moms who enjoy reading and discussing good books. Members take turns suggesting/picking the next book to read.
Charity Committee – Participants meet as necessary to generate ideas for our annual service projects. The charity committee coordinates the projects for the year but all members participate.
Craft Committee – A group that alternates months between a kid’s craft during the day and an evening craft time for moms to work on projects.
Frugal MOMS – A group of smart savers that will e-mail coupons and ways for moms to save money as well as meet occasionally (before Black Friday!!)
Helping Hands – Members of the club lend a helping hand by providing meal deliveries to other members in special situations (i.e., new baby, surgery, family loss)
Mom & Tot Supper Club – A monthly get together for dinner for moms and kids. Perfect for those whose dad works or travels a lot!
MOMS Night Out (MNO) Committee – Generates ideas for our monthly MOMS Night Out
Running MOMS – An encouragement group for those preparing to run in a marathon or looking for motivation to get in/stay in shape.
Secret Friends – Participants are chosen “secret friends” and given their likes/dislikes. You secretly purchase a $10 gift for them and bring to the monthly meetings (or MNO) November through April. Secret friends are revealed at a luncheon in April.
Spiritual Team – A spiritual group designed to uplift one another in prayer on a regular basis and to encourage one another in our spiritual journey. This is open to everyone of all faiths.
Take & Bake – A take & bake is a play date where the moms make a dish to take home for dinner. The hostess assigns ingredients and everyone brings an appropriate container for the dish to transport home. Moms put meals together while the kids play!
